Governarte: "Pablo Valenti Award" Recognizing Innovation in Public Management in Latin America and the Caribbean is Now Open for Entries
The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) announces the 2025 edition of the Gobernarte contest: "Pablo Valenti Award," which aims to identify, reward, and disseminate innovative initiatives in public administration by subnational governments in Latin America and the Caribbean. The goal is to encourage projects that use Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital identity to improve public service delivery, strengthen administrative efficiency, and reduce digital inequalities.
State, departmental, provincial, regional, and municipal governments from IDB borrowing countries can submit their initiatives individually or in partnership with national governments, private sector entities, academia, civil society, or international organizations.
This edition will award initiatives in two categories:
- Artificial Intelligence for the management of subnational government services, including solutions that enhance administrative efficiency, automate processes, and personalize services for citizens.
- Digital identity for secure and accessible public services, including projects that ensure efficient and inclusive access to government services, especially for vulnerable populations.
Submissions will be open from March 13 to April 10, 2025, and must be made by filling out the form available in the contest regulations.
