Who we are

FGVanalytics stemmed from a cooperation initiative between Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) and the São Paulo Public Security Bureau (SSP-SP), with funding from FAPESP, to promote the use of advanced technologies in public security.​

Objectives​:

  • Create a research framework that accelerates the use of data and artificial intelligence tools for decision-making in public security.​

  • Collect and analyze historical and real-time information, focusing on geo-spatialization and data standardization. ​

  • Develop advanced algorithms, prioritizing the protection of sensitive data, and thus act as a liaison between academia, public security, and businesses to promote innovative solutions to combat violence.​

  • Monitor/evaluate the incorporation of new tools and technologies to assess their impact on police activities and enhance their benefits.​
